GDPR, BROAD BAND & QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES – WHAT ARE THE CURRENT BIGGEST CHALLENGES FOR YOUR ENTERPRISE?

Florian Post was particularly interested in the current challenges faced by medium-sized companies and how SEP Logistik AG addresses them.

In addition to the General Data Protection Regulation, which is currently causing additional work for all companies, company founder Franz Demmelmeier worry about the delayed broadband expansion in Germany. Especially a software house operating in the rural area need high-speed internet for remote maintenance and daily data exchange.

A big challenge is to find qualified employees and filling apprenticeship positions: As a medium-sized company in the south of munich, SEP Logistik AG competes with large-scale operations in the Greater Munich area to find IT specialists.

Fortunately, we receive numerous applications. In search for motivated young people, we rely on regional initiatives such as the Stuzubi Career Fair in Miesbach and the “Ausbildungskompass” in order to become visible among future career starters,” said CEO Markus Fischbacher.

In addition, the SEP Logistik AG attaches great importance to an attractive working environment for its employees. Employees could participate from corporate profits  via shares and bonuses. Another advantage of a middle- sized- company in the rural area is the close to home – workplace as well as the familiar and flexible working environment.

“Currently, three apprentices train as qualified IT specialist at a total of 40 employees. “Last week, 30 employees took part in the company run” Teams in Motion ” and some of our employees are member of the voluntary fire brigade”, said Markus Fischbacher.
